You might have Explored many articles on "How to Root a Device". But before getting into it you should know the Pros and Cons of Rooting a Devices or Phones.

The Android Phones you use are running on operating systems. Like other operating systems many features are disabled to prevent damage to operating systems and to the phones hardware. Actually rooting is Termed as gaining access to the command prompt of your operating system. Rooting access gives full access to the device which allows low level task to get executed. Rooting of Android Device is similar to Jailbreak in iphone and unlocking in windows phones. In rooting limitations are removed and full access is allowed. The android phone user will have more control over many features, performance and settings.

  1. Installing customized themes, MODs, and ROMs. This is the main feature why people root there phones. It helps to change your operating systems look , features.
  2. Installing any application on the device which is blocked on unrooted phone.
  3. The ability to overclock or underclock the processor and which allows to run high end applications and games. 
  4. We can remove bloatware applicaions which cannot be uninstalled from devices. These Apps consume large amount of space.
  5. Moving Apps from Device memory to an sdcard.
  6. Access and customize your Hardware settings on your device.
Pros and Cons of Rooting Android Devices

CONS

  1. Rooting voids your warrenty. which is company will not be responsible if anything happens to your phones. Its at your own risk.
  2. Sometimes it can also Brick your device. If the rooting fails then your phone is bricked and your phone will be of no use.
  3. Overclock can damege your phones processor. 
  4. Sometimes rooting can slower the performance and loose some features.
  5. Can lower the battery performance and even can damage it.
  6. Heating problems may occur and device might malfunction.
Conclusion
So the decision is upto you whether to root your device or not. You might get the power by rooting with enhanced features and great performance, if the rooting process goes well or you may face the cons listed above.
